From Telecom To
Say Cheese…cake!

I can vividly remember the first time I ever cooked anything. I was 5 years old. My mom pushed a chair up to the stove and allowed me to scramble eggs under her watchful eye. That experience developed a deep love within me for cooking! Even in Elementary School, I joined the Cooking Club while others joined the Science or Sports Clubs and when the Bookmobile came to the school, I bought children’s cookbooks while my friends bought age-appropriate fiction. I remember swapping recipes in 6th grade with other friends who liked to bake. While cooking is a love, baking has always been a passion for me - especially cheesecakes.

I have been making NY style cheesecakes for over 25 years. My experimentation over the years has resulted in cheesecakes that became huge hits for family and friends and at pot luck dinners and parties. The question posed of me often was, “Why are you not doing this for a living?”

But being in telecommunications with a career that started in engineering and moved into technical project and portfolio management (while raising twins!) did not allow that to be a possibility. However, it remained a dream that I was determined to not let go of. And after retiring early after a 27 year career in the Telecom industry, I’m finally making that dream come true.

Each of my cheesecakes or cheesecake products are made with love, passion and attention to detail. I personally make each one. My goal is to be RVA’s premier baker of cheesecakes and cheesecake handheld products - and when you think of cheesecake, you will think of “Say Cheese...cake!”

It is my sincere desire that you’ll “satisfy your craving” and try my products. I don’t think you will be disappointed!

“So, the coolest thing happened recently.

A couple was having dinner at Oceano, one of my wholesale

customers, and asked if the cheesecake was made in-house.

The waiter replied, "No, we use a local company" and the

wife said, "Please say it's 'Say Cheese...cake!" and when the

waiter said yes, she immediately proclaimed, ‘I'd love a slice then!

When the manager told me this, it really made my day!”
